No-Bake Meringue Recipe - Delicious and Easy to Prepare

I watched a TV show recently and I was amazed how easy he did hes meringue. I tried to check their Facebook page but unfortunately I can't find the recipe their.

I tried doing my own version but it did not work. I ended up making custard strawberry jelly shake instead.

So I tried to do a little web research and luckily, I found a website showing how to make meringue without baking it.

Here are the steps on how to make a no-bake meringue:

Ingredients:

2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup light corn syrup
2 large egg whites
1 cup chopped walnuts (toasted)
mini chocolate morsels (semi-sweet)

Procedure:
In a sauce pan, combine water, sugar and corn syrup.  Bring to a boil over medium heat, stir continuously to dissolve sugar and create a syrup.
Whip egg whites to soft peak as soon as the syrup starts to boil.

When the syrup reaches 250ºF, remove it from heat and slowly and carefully pour it into the whisked egg whites.

Continue whisking up to 5 minutes on  medium speed until the meringue becomes thick.

Fold the chopped walnuts quickly into the meringue and add the chocolate morsels and create a variegated mixture.

Use tablespoons to drop the mixture in a wax or parchment paper. Let the meringue cool for at least an hour before putting in the refrigerator.

Note:  Meringues are very sensitive to moisture. Make sure that your utensils are clean and dry.
